Cinematic Stealth Project — Beginning #1
A stealthy night heist awaits…

After finishing my Galaxy Shooter 2D project, the next project I will start is a 3D Cinematic Stealth game! This is all part of the Cinematography and Stealth game course of GameDevHQ, and all the assets provided are free in the Asset Store in the package “The Great Fleece”.
My first impressions are great, and this is exactly what I wanted to explore: lighting and cinematography! I’ve never had the opportunity to work with illumination in a bigger scale and real-time cutscenes before (animations, audio, and other events are required to have a great cutscene. Having pre-existing assets from the get-go allows me to actually make a good cutscene). This is very exciting for me!

The stealth part… doesn’t interest me that much because I’ve already made a stealth game called Noise Hunters, and it is on Steam! I already know how to make one, the overall design of a stealth game, and the flaws my game had (technical problems, lack of experience, tight deadlines, design flaws… it’s a story for another day).

Anyways, what’s this article about? Just a simple introduction to what I will work with for the next weeks, and write about. There’s a lot of interesting stuff to learn from this course, so, follow me if you’re interested and you might learn a thing or two of what I’ve learned doing this course.
